Then, in 2009, after witnessing a performer whose creative brilliance and humility stole my breath away (Adam Lambert) inspiring me to embrace my own creative potential, I picked up my pen and finished the first book in the saga of Crystal Blue, my reluctant Avatar and heroine.  Once I started writing, her world opened up and characters literally poured out, lining up, begging for an audition to be included in her story, chattering loudly, keeping me awake at night.  So I had to keep writing in order to get some sleep! Then, lo and behold, the first book was done and I knew that what had been locked up inside my head for so many years needed to get out.  Thus began the White Bird Series, with no less than seven books in the series once it's done.

I live in Minnesota with my mother, our two little pups and three adorable cats.  Both of my cherished daughters live close by, one as a working woman, the other in college.  When I'm not writing, I love to garden, canoe, knit, bike, run, paint, do research for next book, 'hang-out' with my daughters, travel, visit with my girlfriends, go to the movies, and READ!

Currently, I am working on Book V in the White Bird Series, Blue Flames Rising. Check this website or Facebook for updates and release information.

If you'd like to write a customer review for any of my books and post it to Amazon on the pertinent book page, once written send me an email informing me and I will reserve the next book to be released in the series, sign and then send it to you as a gift for your time and efforts.  I cherish my reader's honest opinions.

All the Best,

PB

I began writing Crystal's story way back in  1995 when my children were quite small and mischievous. Therefore, I had to put down my pen and tend to them, tucking my story away for a time when skinned knees, stolen toys, and hurt feelings weren't daily events. During all this time I never forgot my characters...they wouldn't let me forget.

For the better part of fourteen years, Crystal's story simmered in my brain and in my heart while I played with my children, and also delved deeper into my spiritual growth.  For further understanding of this aspect of my life and my work, read myMission Statement.
